SHF aims to create an environment where youths feel recognized and embraced, fostering their spiritual growth through teachings about Jesus and active discipleship. By emphasizing the importance of loving God, others, and the world, as instructed in Matthew 28:19, we strive to partner with parents—the primary disciplers of their children—supporting them in nurturing their kids to become dedicated followers of Christ.

Discipleship is the process of following Jesus Christ and becoming more like Him in every area of life. It is both a journey and a relationship—a journey of spiritual growth and a relationship with God and others in the faith community.
At its core, discipleship involves learning from Jesus, living according to His teachings, and helping others do the same. It’s about developing a deeper understanding of God’s Word, cultivating a heart of worship, and living out the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).

SHF Youth Ministry members were treated to a special Santa Train ride in North Bend, WA, December 2025.
This retreat was our way of saying thank you for all the Youths dedication, hard work and passion this year. Happy Holidays
A big round of applause for the SHF Youth Ministry for hosting an outstanding CPR Training this past Saturday.
We now have 15 new CPR-Certified individuals after they completed the comprehensive 5-hour American Heart Association course with a perfect 100% pass rate!
Learning this life-saving technique is one of the most important ways we can serve our neighbors and families. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success!

We are incredibly proud of the SHF Youths! This year, they independently generated their own funds to host a successful toy, blanket, and clothes drive for underprivileged communities. Seeing our youth reach out and make a tangible difference in our local area is a huge milestone. All donations were proudly delivered to the Tacoma Rescue Mission. Way to go, SHF Youth.
